DROUGHT WARNING

As New Jersey continues to experience historically low precipitation, above-average temperatures, and deteriorating water supply conditions, Governor Phil Murphy and DEP Commissioner Shawn LaTourette announced the State is declaring a Drought Warning. During their press conference they spoke about the significant increase in wildfires and decreasing water levels over the last year. As New Jersey enters the next stage in severity of water storage conditions, officials are sternly encouraging the public to reduce water use until normal precipitation levels return.
