Excellence in Every Drop — Since 1926

In 2026, the Merchantville-Pennsauken Water Commission (MPWC) is celebrating a century of delivering clean, safe and reliable water to Merchantville, Pennsauken and parts of Cherry Hill and the City of Camden.
Since our earliest beginnings in 1926, MPWC has evolved from horse-and-carriage delivery to a state-of-the-art water system serving nearly 50,000 people and producing 6 million gallons daily. With significant annual investment in infrastructure modernization and advanced treatment technologies – including carbon filtration to address emerging contaminants – MPWC continues to raise the bar for quality, reliability and affordability.
Our 100th Anniversary marks more than a milestone. It’s a celebration of the people and progress that define us – and a renewed commitment to protecting public health and strengthening our system for the next century.
